Hogwarts Legacy promises to be everything that fans of the wizardry world have been craving since they were old enough to receive their own Hogwarts acceptance letter that has yet to come. A large part of the game’s best-selling success before it is released comes down to the Deluxe Edition pre-order, which lets eager wizards jump into the game three days before launch. This means that Hogwarts Legacy, a game about being a wizard, has beaten out titles like all of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Fifa 23 to take the throne.

Steam, every PC user’s favourite gaming storefront, has seen Hogwarts Legacy sit at the number one spot on their best-selling games list for the last month. Hogwarts Legacy is by far the game I’m most excited to play this coming year, and judging from the Steam stats, I’m not alone.
